Mobility and financial services around the world – that's our DNA.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG and part of Volkswagen Group Mobility, we manage and coordinate the non-European financial services business for the Volkswagen Group – with the exception of the US and Canada markets. The around 4,200 employees in our twelve international subsidiaries across the globe work tirelessly every day to help our customers obtain their dream car – from South and Central America to South Africa, Australia, and Asia.

Our international companies offer a product portfolio that includes leasing, vehicle financing and rentals, insurance, and other automotive-related service products – with different forms and features depending on the local needs of the specific market. Our aim is to support the Volkswagen Group's automotive brands in their vehicle sales within the respective markets and at the same time foster customer loyalty.

Our headquarters is in Braunschweig. Our international subsidiaries operate in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, India, Australia, China, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.

Dr. Wolf-Stefan Specht
- Chief Executive Officer -

Wolf-Stefan Specht was born in Höxter and, after passing his high school examination (Abitur) in Holzminden, studied mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing technology at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1989. He later earned his doctorate in 2001 from the University of Hanover.

His professional career began in 1996 at IPH GmbH in Hanover. In 2001, he joined the Volkswagen Group as a project manager at Volkswagen Consulting. Wolf-Stefan Specht then held various international management positions in sales for the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand until he took over as CEO of the Volkswagen Group in Poland in 2017. Since 2020, he has been responsible for global NSC (National Sales Companies) Steering in Wolfsburg and, starting in 2024, additionally for the Volkswagen Group's Sales Control.

Patrick Welter
- Chief Financial Officer -

After studying business administration at the University of Trier and the University of Alcalá (Madrid), Patrick Welter (born in 1969) began his career at Volkswagen Financial Services AG in 1996 as an international trainee. He then worked in direct bank marketing at Volkswagen Bank GmbH for four years from 1998, where he managed projects that included the company's international branch expansion. In 2002, Welter moved to the Volkswagen Bank branch in Ireland as Country Manager, where he was responsible for Business Development, Controlling, Accounting, Treasury Back Office, HR, and IT until 2007. Welter then continued his international career and became Managing Director Back Office of Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Japan in 2007. In 2011, he took over as Head of International Controlling at Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Braunschweig for nine years before becoming Managing Director Back Office of Volkswagen Financial Services S.p.A. in Italy and Country Manager of the Italian branch of Volkswagen Leasing in 2020. Patrick Welter has been a member of the Management Board of Volkswagen Financial Services Overseas AG since July 1, 2024, where he is responsible for finance.
